It is reported that Kalavaadiya Pozhuthugal, which has Prabhu Deva and the almost-forgotten Bhumika Chawla in the lead, might see the light of the day soon and could release in theatres in the next few weeks.
The shoot of the film commenced early in 2009 and was wrapped up by mid-2010 but due to a variety of reasons, the film has been lying in cold storage now for more than the past four years.
Thankar Bachan has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues of the film besides directing and cinematographing it. Besides the lead pair, Sathyaraj, Santhanam, Prakash Raj, ‘Ganja’ Karuppu, Inbanila and the late Manivannan are also in the cast.
Bharathwaj has scored the film’s music while B. Lenin is the editor. Severe financial crunch, neglect by distributors and not getting good theatres were the reasons cited by the makers for not releasing the film so far. Ayngaran Films, the producers, who have also produced Kaththi along with Lyca Mobiles, is said to be gearing up to release Kalavaadiya Pozhuthugal in theatres.
Ayngaran Films is said to be confident of earning enough revenue from Kaththi which it plans to invest in releasing Kalavaadiya Pozhuthugal.
