Shruti Haasan, probably the only heroine who is busy in three language industries i.e. Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, has asserted that her mother and national award for ‘best actress’ winner Sarika has always been her ‘role mode’ ever since her childhood days.
Shruti has been having a great time at the box-office for the past two-and-a-half years during when she has managed to find her own space in Telugu and Hindi film industries. She is having a huge release in Tamil on Deepavali tomorrow with Poojai wherein she has been paired up opposite dark hunk Vishal. Promos and interest among Tamil audiences to watch Shruti on-screen in a Tamil film indicate that the film might do well in cinemas.
Shruti, who shares screens with legends such as Amitabh Bachchan, Nana Patekar and Dimple Kapadia in her upcoming Bollywood film Welcome Back, spoke of the impact her mother has had on her career and life during a recent interview to a leading Tamil weekly.
“My mother has always been an independent and courageous woman who had the knack of solving any issue without making much ado. She is my role model and would remain so forever. When I was attacked by a stalker in Mumbai a few months back, everybody feared about my security. Mother simply told me that she was aware of my courage and asked me to take it easy and not lose my self-confidence.
“At the same time, her love and affection is amazing and won’t tolerate even if I’m down with mild fever. Mother, Akshara and Appa (Kamal Haasan) are the three jewels of my life and my life would be rid of its meaning without them,” Shruti concluded.
