Superstar Rajinikanth was in his elements when he took the mike at the audio-launch of producer-director Shankar’s upcoming film I. The grand audio-launch was attended among others by Hollywood’s ‘Terminator’ Arnold Schwarzenegger, Shankar, Sandalwood’s Puneeth Rajkumar, A.R. Rahman and the crew of the film. Sprawling Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in the city was the befitting venue of the function.
Looking radiant clad in a full-sleeved white shirt, Rajini released the audio and spoke in his inimitable style after Arnold exited just before the audio was to be released. “The function looks to me like a function to mark the film’s celebration. The trailer of the film increases our curiosity to watch the film at the earliest. Shankar has been in the filed for 20 years now and has been bettering his own achievements with his latest film.
“As such, I appears to be his best effort as on date. Shankar wants to take Tamil films to a global level and does everything possible in this regard. He is a truly ‘film-oriented Indian’ who works non-stop without bothering about money and time. Shankar is ably aided by Oscar-winner Rahman. Shankar, the tough task-master that he is, reportedly made Rahman sweat hard for the tunes; that kind of commitment is amazing.
“Vikram, who goes to unbelievable levels in altering his physique and body for the roles he takes up in his films, would henceforth be known as ‘I’ Vikram after the film releases.
There is no actor in Tamil film industry who undergoes self-penance as much as Vikram to make himself suitable for the roles offered to him. In fact, there can be no such actor in the world. As a fellow actor, I would love to whole-heartedly congratulate Vikram from the bottom of my heart,” concluded Rajini.
Rajinikanth, who has almost wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming film Lingaa, also added that he expected many films from the Vikram-Shankar combo in future.
