It is rumoured strongly in Kollywood circles that Enni Ezhu Naal, Karthi’s upcoming film which was to be directed by Lingusmay, is likely to be called off. Karthi and Lingusamy forged a successful relationship by teaming for the hit film Paiyaah a few years back.
The film, a romantic travelogue, pitted Karthi opposite Tamannaah and thanks to Yuvan’s mesmerizing music and Tamanna’s ‘curves’, it turned out to be a super-hit.
Post the release and the not-so-expected showing of Suriya’s Lingusamy-directed Anjaan, it appears that Karthi is having second thoughts about going ahead with the shoot of Enni Ezhu Naal.
It now turns out that the original script of Anjaan was altered after Seeman complainted that it resembled the script of his yet-to-be-made Pagalavan. The urgent manner in which the script was altered by Lingusamy is said to have cost the film dear at the box-office.
However, Lingusamy claims that he had given four options (scripts) to Suriya and it was he who chose the final version. Sequences were filmed as per Suriya’s suggestion, says Lingusamy, putting the blame clearly on Suriya for the film’s no-show. Suriya is said to be upset about this and gave Karthi a piece of his mind about what to expect from Lingusamy.
Though Suriya hasn’t advised him to do so, Karthi has reportedly decided on his own not to work with Lingusamy. On getting to know about this, Lingusamy panicked and met Karthi to try to convince him to work with him for the second time.
Lingusamy is said to be getting help from Gnanavel Raja, the producer-uncle of Karthi and Suriya. It, therefore, remains to be seen whether Karthi goes ahead with the project or not.
