Taapsee Pannu has alleged that a conspiracy is being hatched by a few vested interests to ‘finish her’ off from the industry as she had been staying away from controversies and had only been concentrating in her career.
Taapsee, who turned 27 this Monday, debuted in Kollywood with Vetrimaaran’s national award-winning Aadukalam a few years back. The Delhi-based girl has also been starring in Telugu and Hindi films besides her stint in Tamil films.
After some considerable hiatus, she returned to Kollywood late last year with Ajith-Nayantara starrer Arrambam in which she was paired up opposite Arya, a close friend of hers.
“Ever since I debuted in Tamil films, there has been no dearth of rumours about me. Rumours of my ‘marriage’ have appeared many times in the press. I feel those who are unable to digest my success have been purposely spreading false news about me. I love tattoos and I don’t know why they are commenting about the tattoos which I got on my body many years back.
“If I go abroad on vacation with my sister, it is said that I don’t have any films on hand and had settled down in that country,” she said. “Nayantara and I are close friends but rumours are spread to create ill-will and misunderstanding between us. However, I have chosen not to bother myself with these rumours and have decided to concentrate only on my career,” concludes Taapsee.
Spare the girl, please!
