Nazriya Nazim, the teenager who would turn 20 only this December, is to get married to Fahad Fazil, Mollywood actor and son of veteran Tamil and Malayalam film-maker Fazil, on 21st August at Trivandrum. Relatives of both the to-be-bride and to-be-groom are busy distributing invitation cards.
Nazriya debuted in Tamil films with Neram, which was dubbed from Malayalam, and as such, last year’s Deepavali release Raja Rani was her debut film as heroine in Tamil films. She starred in Dhanush’s Naiyaandi and Vaayai Moodi Pesavum and with Jai in Thirumanam Ennum Nikkah which hits the screenes today (24th July).
Though Fahad and Nazriya fell in love with each other during the making of a Malayalam film which starred them together, it is said officially that it is only an ‘arranged’ marriage.
The couple got engaged in February and would be getting married at the Al Saj Convention Centre situated at the national highway near Trivandrum at 1200 noon on 21st August.
The wedding would be followed by a grand reception to be held on 24th August at Alleppey. Tamil film celebrities are expected to attend the wedding and the reception in huge numbers. Nazriya, who has decided not to act in films after marriage, is completing all her committed shooting schedules at a hectic pace.
