Kamal Haasan has said that the post-production work of his upcoming Vishroopam II has been wrapped up and hinted that the film might release in theatre ‘any time’ in the next few weeks.
Kamal Haasan’s fans can celebrate this year as many as three of his films are likely to be released in 2014. Kamal is about to complete the shooting schedule of Uttama Villain, directed by Ramesh Aravind, in a few weeks from now. He would then take up the Tamil remake of the Malayalam super-duper hit Drishyam.
Vishwaroopam II, which has Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar and many others, is the sequel to Kamal’s highly controversial and successful Vishwaroopam which released early last year.
The sequel has been produced by Ravichandran (Tamil version) and Ektaa and Shobha Kapoor (Hindi version). Speaking recently to a magazine recently, Kamal conceded that the release of Vishwaroopam II in theatres was imminent.
“The post-production work is almost complete except for a few ‘patch-work’ shoots. The film might release at any time in the next few weeks,” he said.
It may be recalled that Kamal had already said that Uttama Villain would hit the screens on 10th September; in order to leave a gap of at two months in between films, it is said that Vishwaraoopam II might release by the second week of July.
