The title Manja Pai, which means yellow bag, takes us back to 60s when the modern-day plastic bags were not in use.

Today, many won’t even remember about the earlier bags, which was popular in those days. This change in the lifestyle is reflecting in man’s relationships and the movie tries to tell this. All man require today is money.

Manja Pai tells the story of a grandfather and grandchild played by Rajkiran and Vimal.

The story is told with lots of sentimental scenes. The grandpa comes to Chennai to his grandson’s house, who is working in an IT company. But oldman’s mannerisms doesn’t go well with their neighbours and it causes huge embarssment to Vimal.

In short, Manja Pai tells about a villager’s sincerity and honesty along with his large-heartedness and the city people’s unsympathetic and only-concerned-about-us behaviour. Lakshmi Menon will be seen in the role of an ophthalmologist.

Rating:2.0/5
The young director has tried to depict the grandfather-grandson relationship and also throw light on the way how people, who is living in city, treat their counterparts from rural places.
