After back to back hits with a slew of qulity film director N.Lingusamy’s production house Tirupathi Brothers are gearing up for the release of their next film titled as ‘Manjapai’.
The film has been sent for censor certification in the last week of April and the board officials had given a clean chit for the film with a ‘U’ certificate. The film was initially expected to hit the screens in the month of May but it could not make it for unknown reasons.
Now the makers have officially announced that the film will hit the screens on June 6. The Chennai city distribution rights have been acquired by Abirami Mega Mall and in Madurai the film will be released by Gopuram Films.
Directed by debutante N.Raghavan, ‘Manjapai’ stars Vemal and Lakshmi Menon in lead roles and Rajkiran is making a comeback playing an important role as Vemal’s grandfather in the film.
Raghavan is the former assistant of director Sarkunam of ‘Kalavani’ fame. He is in fact launching his production company ‘A Sarkunam Cinemaas’ and his brother A.Nandakumar as a producer with this film.
A Sarkunam Cinemas and Tirupathi Brothers are jointly producing this romantic comedy film. Music has been scored by N.R.Raghunandan.
The film is touted as a comic entertainer and the makers are marketing as a summer treat for fans.
