Last night, an official press release from the makers of ‘Kochadiiyaan’ confirmed that the film will not release on May 9 as scheduled and it has been postponed to May 23. The reason cited in the press release for the delay was ‘Technical Issues’.
However a reliable source reveals that the postponement was unavoidable due to legal hurdles faced by the producers. A leading Bank has moved the court for the repayment of the loan of Rupees 40 crores before the release of the film.
‘Kochadiiyaan’ stars Superstar Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone in lead roles. The film is India’s first Performance Capture Photo Realistic film directed by Soundarya Ashwin, the younger daughter of Rajinikanth.
The advance bookings for the film started on May 7 but they were stopped owing to the issue that has hampered the release. Money will be refunded to those who have already booked the tickets.
