Telugu Cinema and media industry were abuzz about the alleged tussle between actor Prakash Raj and and the Telugu Film Directors Association. It was alleged that Prakash Raj was removed from the Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Aagadu’ since the National award winning actor used abusive language towards the co-directors of the film.
This issue was also taken to the Director’s association and the association has been pressing for a ban on Prakash Raj from acting in Telugu films. It was also speculated that this might affect the release of Prakash Raj’s upcoming directorial ‘Ulavacharu Biriyani’ (‘Un Samayalarayil’ in Tamil) in which he has also donned the lead role.
Prakash Raj has come out in open and clarified the air surrounding the entire issue. He has said that he opted out of ‘Aagadu’ owing to the difference of opinion with its director about the character allotted to him and has rubbished the claims that he used abusive language towards the co-directors and that has lead to the Telugu Directors Union seeking a ban on him.
The multi-linguistic actor said that he knows that it is the handiwork of a particular person who is jealous of his development and will name him at the right time. It is that person who has lodged a false complaint against him with the TDFA. Prakash Raj has also vowed to launch a complaint against that person in the Artiste’s Association of Telugu Cinema.
Prakash Raj again emphasized that he has opted out of ‘Aagadu’ only because of the difference of opinion with its director. He said he is always ready to act with Mahesh Babu or even the Producers of ‘Aagadu’ if some other director approaches him with the right script in future.
