As per newspaper a report, the shooting of Anjaan that is progressing in Mumbai was stopped due to a mob entering the spot and lodging their protest.
The mob of around 50 members claiming to represent the Mumbai unit of a well known Tamil faction entered the shooting spot of Anjaan on Sunday afternoon and allegedly raised slogans against Lingsamy for releasing the film Inam which according to them demeans the Tamil’s struggle in Sri Lankan war. They also vehemently demanded that the film ne removed from all theatres.
Lingsamy who is the director of Anjaan had to halt the shoot for a few hours to hold talks with them. The mob left the venue only after Lingusamy assured them of taking a decision soon.
This seems to be dominant reason for Lingsamy’s decision to withdraw Inam from all theatres, which he announced on Sunday evening.
Anjaan shoot has resumed from Monday. The films star Surya in dual roles and Samantha plays the lead heroine role.
