Udhyanidhi Stalin’s latest production venture which is also his second film as a hero Idhu Kadhirvelan Kadhal released last week and has been appreciated by fans as well as critics. The second directorial venture of S.R.Prabhakaran will soon recover its cost as suggested by the trade pundits.
Udhyanidhi Stalin has proved his ability to churn out super hit films as producer. He is identified as one of the few producers who knows the pulse of audience and gives prominence for that while selecting the script.
However Red Giant films, the banner of Udhaynidhi has its share of failures as well and the producer cum actor has always been candid in accepting his failures and shortcomings.
Recently he was asked about the films which he regretted for producing and Udhyanidhi did not hesitate for a moment to name them as Kuruvi and Manmadhan Ambu. Kuruvi was the maiden production venture of Udhyaniodhi which starred Vijay in the lead role.
Manmadhan Ambu had Kamalhassan playing the lead role and the actor also wrote the script and dialogues for the film released in 2010. Both the films were commercial disasters.
Udhyanidhi has said that both the films had good first half but second half played the spoil sport.
Meanhwile Udhayanidhi’s next production venture which is also his third film as the lead hero commences today in Kumbakonam. The film titled Nanbenda will be directed by debutante Jagadish.
The film retains Nayanthara as the heroine, Santhanam, Harris Jayaraj and Cinematographer Balasubramaniem who worked in IKK.
