Comedian Vadivelu is attempting to make a comeback in Tamil films after a period of more than three years. Before he started facing the unofficial ‘boycott’ by Kollywood after AIADMK swept to power in 2011, Vadivelu was on top in Kollywood as its leading comedian. The comeback movie of Vadivelu is being directed by Yuvaraj Dhayalan, who made a good impression with Potta Potti some time back.
Meenakshi Dixit plays the heroine in the film titled as Jagajala Pujabala Thenaliraman and set against a period-type backdrop. Vadivelu essays the title role of Thenaliraman as well as the character of King Krishnadevaraya in whose court Thenaliraman works as a minister. Baby Neha and the national award winning actor Thambi Ramaiah are part of the cast f the film which has music by D. Imman.
The crew of the film hopes to leave for China in the last week of this month to shoot some sequences in the film after which the film’s shoot would be wrapped up. The month-long schedule would be the film’s last shooting schedule, it is informed.
Huge sets were erected inside the premises of AVM Studios where the crew shot considerable number of sequences. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the makers are attempting to release the film either in March or April this year.
