Close to two years now, Vijay Sethupathi has been hailed as the ‘sure-fire hero’ of Kollywood. You have got to give it to him: his films either do very well at the box-office or do average business and don’t make the concerned producers end up on the losing side.
Vijay is the only hero who has starred in as many as five hit films in the past 18 months or so. As everyone in the industry and in any other field is aware of, sustaining success is harder than getting it in the first place.
In order to let him handle his career in a better manner and to enable him to have a wider choice in choosing his films, Vijay has made an arrangement.
Sethupathi, who had been listening to all his scripts on his own till now, has set up a team of five friends to do it for him.
Vijay has decided to listen to the scripts narrated to him along with his team and once the narrator has left the place, he would view the pros and cons of agreeing to do the project after listening to the ‘expert views’ from his team of friends.
Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Rummy are Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming films which are on their final leg of shoot. Besides these two films, Vijay has on hand films such as Sangudevan, Vanman, Seenu Ramasamy’s Idam Porum Eval, Vasantha Kumaran and S.P. Jananathan’s Purampokku.
He has also committed to star in Mellisai which means that his call-sheet diary would be full till the middle of 2015.
The ‘expert’ group is, therefore, likely to help out Vijay in finalizing his projects which would go to floors from the second half of 2015.
