Veteran actor Sathyaraj is never short of words. Irrespective of his views on politics and religion, he never keeps shut while attending a film-related event or a meet-the-press programme.
It was at one such event held recently that he revealed the names of his choice of heroes to play his roles if his films are remade again.
Sathyaraj played a significant role in two of the greatest success of this year: one was the Tamil hit film Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam and the other was the Bollywood super-duper hit film Chennai Express wherein he played the role of heroine Deepika Padukone who played a Tamil girl in the film opposite Shah Rukh Khan.
Answering queries from the press about whom he would love to star in the remake of his hit films, Sathyaraj said “Ajith Kumar would fit the role perfectly for the remake of Makkal En Pakkam; I’d love Vijay to play my role in the remake of Poovizhi Vasalile and Karthi go essay the lead role in the remake of Kadalora Kavithaigal.
“Suriya would beg the perfect choice to play the lead role in the remake of Kadamai Kanniyam Kattupaadu and Sivakarthikeyan would be the apt choice for my role if my film Anna Nagar Mudhal Theru is remade now.
However, I won’t let anybody play my role if the remake of Vedham Pudhithu is attempted. I’d again love to play the role as at present, I don’t need any make up to essay the role,” said Sathyaraj.
Who could forget the amazing role of Balu Thevar that Sathyaraj essayed in the film?
