Sona Heiden, the buxom babe of Tamil films who never fails to be in the news despite a not-so-successful career, has filed a complaint with the Nadigar Sangam alleging that film-maker and friend Venkat Prabhu has cheated her to tune of Rs.1.5 crores by not making a film for her and going back on his promise to make a film.
Sona and Venkat Prabhu were close friends and had posed together hugging each other on many occasions. However, their friendship took a beating when Sona accused SPB Charan, a close friend of Venkat Prabhu, of attempting to ‘rape’ her. Ever since the issue surfaced, Sona and Venkat Prabhu fell out with each other but struck up an ‘uneasy truce’ later on.
Sona’s complaint against Venkat Prabhu, director of the upcoming film Biriyani starring Karthi, Mandy and Hansika in lead roles, has stumped industry-watchers. In her complaint, Sona has said “When Venkat Prabhu was making Goa a few years back, I asked him to make a film for me. He agreed to do so and it was decided among us that he would start work on my film once he completed Goa.
“I gave him Rs.1.5 crores to make a film. However, after completing Goa, Venkat Prabhu concentrated in other projects and when I demanded my money back, he didn’t respond positively. He hasn’t returned the amount all these years. I request that my amount should be returned by him before he releases his Biriyani in theatres next week,” the complaint said.
Nadigar Sangam, which enquired the issue in detail, has reportedly forwarded the issue to the Produers’ Council for further action.
