Ramarajan, the successful box-office hero of the late eighties and starred in the all-time record-breaking Karagattakkaran, is back after some hiatus.
Known for his bright-coloured clothing and a heavy dose of make-up, Ramarajan was once given the title of ‘Makkal Nayagan’ at the peak of his popularity in the early nineties. His brand of films could only have starred himself as heroes and nobody else. The last time Ramarajan directed a film was way back in 2001 and he made a comeback again with Medhai last year.
After the debacle of Medhai, critics thought that the audiences had seen the last of Ramarajan especially after he got involved in an accident after the film’s release. Now that he has recuperated from the accident, Ramarajan would soon be starring as hero in yet another of his comebacks in the film titled as Kumbabishekam which would have newcomer Noorya as his heroine.
Soundaryan would be scoring the film’s music which would be cinematographed by Anand. K.M. Pushparaj would be penning the script and directing the film whose shoot would take place in places such as Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri and Kaveripattinam as the script is a rural-based one. The shoot is to commence from 9th December onwards.
