‘Ulaganayagan’ Kamal Haasan has opined that irrespective of a person’s background, he/she might not be able to achieve success in any field in there is lack of self-confidence in the mind.
“It’s all about confidence; if someone lacks it, he/she may end up going nowhere,” said Kamal while taking part in the audio launch of Endrendrum Punnagai which stars Jiiva and Trisha in the lead.
Besides the lead pair, others essaying prominent roles in the film are Vinay Rai, playback singer-actress Andrea Jeremiah and Santhanam. The event was held in a grand-gala manner at the sprawling premises of Sathyam Cinemas. Kamal released the audio-cassettes and CDs of the film which were accepted by director Bala.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamal said “I’m here because of the persistent invitation by the crew. When they came repeatedly to me, I could sense that something big was on the cards.
I could smell success and when it comes to achieving success, nobody can say for sure as to which film would hit the bull’s eye at the box-office. From whatever experience I have, I can confidently say that films made with self-confidence have always ended up as successful ventures.
“One who doesn’t believe in himself would have to toil hard to make it big. There is a thin line which divides self-confidence and arrogance and I’m sure the crew would have known it very well.
Like Vinay told me before the function, the good wishes of all concerned plus the patronage of the audiences is imperative for any film to succeed. I decided to come over here to wish success to a new group which has entered Kollywood with vigour and determination.
“Artistes like us do need appreciation and it’s good for us to attend such events to draw applause from the audiences. This would serve as a tonic for us to do well in our successive films. Who knows, the applause that I see here might even be a prelude to the success of my upcoming film Vishwaroopam II. It’s the audiences’ appreciation which keeps all of us going,” concluded Kamal Haasan to a thunderous response.
