Notwithstanding the trial of a case filed against its theatrical release, it is said that actor Ajith Kumar’s upcoming film Arrambam is likely to release on Deepavali by overcoming all the hiccups. Starring Ajith, Arya, Nayanthara and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles, Arrambam is directed by Vishnuvardhan with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
In the making for close to one-and-a-half years now, Arrambam is expected with great patience and curiosity by Ajith’s fans. But the film hit a road block, after a financier named B. Rajeshwari, filed against A.M. Rathnam, the producer of the film, stating that unless he settled the dues to her along with penal interest, the film shouldn’t be allowed to release in theatres.
As per latest reports, the issues surrounding the release of Arrambam have been sorted out and the film will hit the screens as per the schedule.
Rathnam is said to have given an undertaking to the Court to support his claim that he was not the producer of the film but by A Raghuram under Sri Sathya Sai Movies banner. He has also requested the Court that the film’s release in theatres on Deepavali shouldn’t be stayed at any cost.
It appears that the Court has been convinced by the supporting document sent by Rathnam and managed to get plum theatres to release the film in Chennai and elsewhere.
The Censors, meanwhile, have awarded an ‘U’ certification to the film. With this certificate in its kitty now, it is believed that decks have been cleared for the film to get the much-need tax exemption from the State Government.
With everything in place, the film would be releasing 1-2 days ahead of Deepavali.
