Is this the Trisha of Lesa Lesa? She is still shining like a slim beauty. She has enthralled the Tamil and Telugu audience with her smile. A chill rendezvous with her:
It looks as if Lesa Lesa was released now. 10 years have passed. 10 years as a heroine. What do you think?
10 years. Yeah I also cannot believe it. If I turn back it looks like I have acted in Lesa lesa only now. I am really proud. It is a very difficult task to be a leading actress for the last 10 years. I have come across lot of hurdles. At the same time I don’t feel like that I have achieved anything. Even now I sign a film as it is my first film.
You are acting in commercial films. When can we see you in a film that gives importance to the heroine?
It is true that I have acted in lots of commercial films. Abhiyum Naanum is a heroine centered film. Though Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa is a commercial film, the story will revolve around me. Since I have been in the industry for the last 10 years, I have decided to act in the story which gives importance to me. I have acted in a film called RUM. Once this film is released there will no need for this question.
Trisha is getting married next month. Trisha is married. There are rumours like this now and then. How do you take this?
(Smiles) I will see it and read it. I will keep cool by thinking they have started it again. Even now they write. For the last ten years they have been writing. If I grieve, this will start showing in my films. Only my mother will be upset seeing these kinds of news. I have been accustomed by these things.
What is your view about acting after marriage?
I am yet to be married. I have not thought about acting after marriage. I will act if I get a good role. I don’t know what will happen after the marriage. Let’s wait and see.
Lots of heroines are flooding. Are they your competitors?
Definitely they are competitors. It is a healthy competition. Only if they are lots of advents we will be scared of sustaining our place. So we will think of doing something innovative. I like competition.
You are acting in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu films. Who is your best friend in cinema and why?
I have a long list of friends. If I speak about one person another person will be hurt. All are my best friends. Trisha always loves her friends.
You are showing keen interest on PETA. Even in the Twitter you give importance for the welfare of animals. You are using your popularity for a good cause. How did you get this idea?
When I was studying in Church Park Convent, I was fond of dogs. If any of the dogs is injured in the road, I will take it to the hospital. None of my family members objected to this. So I got used to it. There is an orphanage in the Church Park Convent. I used to spend most of the time there. There is nothing wrong to use the popularity for a good cause. Popularity is strength. I am using this strength in a useful way.
