Superstar Rajinikanth’s punch dialogues are as legendary as the man himself. Whatever Rajini says on and off screens becomes big news. Though it is now more than three years since Rajini had his last release, his fans all over the world are waiting with monumental patience to watch him on screen (albeit in a new avatar) in his upcoming animation 3-D venture Kochadaiiyaan.
Now, a film has been named as ‘Khatham Khatham’, one of the very popular punch-dialogues of Rajini from his Suresh Krishna-directed Baba which released in 2002. Babu Thooyavan, son of popular film producer and screenplay-writer Thooyavan, and an an ardent fan of Rajini turns director with Khatham Khatham.
Some years back, the trend was to name the films after popular lyrics and then then trend changed to naming the films after the name of the character played by the hero in the film. Of late, there have been many films releasing with ‘pure’ Tamil titles as the producers of these films apparently want to get noticed by the government for exemption from entertainment tax.
Nandha and cinematographer-turned-actor Natraj play the lead roles in the film which has Sharika playing the female lead. Taj Noor scores the music of the film while the other cast members and technicians are yet to be decided.
