We recently reported about the release of Vijay Sethupathi’s upcoming flick Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara, which is all set for its release on Gandhi Jayanti, or October 2 to be more precise. It being a national holiday, the producers have made sure the flick gets a wide release across the state.
In fact, out of the 950 screens available, we hear 300 or more exhibitors have agreed to take up the movie pulsing a huge turnout on the holiday. Considering the fact that Vijay Sethupathi has also proved his mettle with projects such as Sundarapandian (cast in a negative role) ,Pizza, Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom and Soodhu Kavvum, his fans are eagerly looking forward to this one, as it is a comic entertainer.
However, ever since the release of this flick, its producers have been visiting the censor board time and again expecting a verdict on its content. Fresh news just popped in, that it has been awarded a U certification finally. A directorial from Gokul, who made a K town debut with Rowthiram, featuring the likes of Jiiva and Shriya Saran, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara features the likes of Vijay Sethupathi in the lead alongside Ashwin, Subramaniapuram fame Swati Reddy and Attakathi fame Nandita. Funded by Leo Vision, this will be Vijay Sethupathi’s biggest release yet. with music by Siddarth Vippin.
