Vijayakanth has reportedly advised Vishal not to take up the assignment of distributing films produced by others. “It would only make you lose your own hard-earned money and you would do well to stay off,” were the words of wisdom uttered by the actor-turned-politician who rang up Vishal whose latest film Madha Gaja Raja has been facing difficulties in releasing.
The shoot of Madha Gaja Raja had been completed long back but the film had been lying in cold storage for want of distributors. Vishal then made efforts to take up the film’s distribution and release through his firm Vishal Film Factory and spent a few crores.
However, financiers who had loaned huge amounts to the producer approached Vishal and warned him that he could release the film only after settling the dues of the producer. Stung by the unexpected financial crises, Vishal returned the film back to the producer who are now making their own efforts to release the film. Knowing this , captain Vijayakanth had called up Vishal and told him to be careful in future.
“Don’t take up the distribution of films produced by others; I had also indulged in such things in the past and lost money. Don’t get worried about the delay in the film’s release and concentrate on your next film. Producing a film is different but making efforts to release films produced by others is not good,” were the words of wisdom from the ‘Captain’ to Vishal who was pleased about the call from the actor-politician.
Directed by Sundar C, Madha Gaja Raja has Vishal, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Anjali in lead roles.
