Prasanna has come out in support of his beleaguered wife and actress Sneha and has said that they never intended to lodge a complaint with the police against anyone. Prasanna’s explanation was necessitated after reports surfaced in the media linking Sneha to a former Minister in the State Cabinet.
A group had linked Sneha’s name with a Minister in Amma’s cabinet who recently lost his post as Minister and had said that his links with the married actress had cost him his post in the Cabinet. Stung and shocked, Prasanna immediately expressed his opposition to the comments by the person but the latter’s retorted immediately that they were writing nothing ‘but the truth’.
It was also rumoured that Sneha was to visit the Commissionerate of Police in the city to seek the cyber crime police’s help in tracing the group who had leveled allegations against her. Many reporters had assembled at the COP’s office despite heavy rains yesterday but were utterly disappointed as neither Sneha nor Prasanna turned out to lodge a complaint with the police.
In the meantime, the group on the Facebook had claimed that they have ‘withdrawn’ and ‘deleted’ the disparaging comments made against Sneha. When contacted, Prasanna said “As far as I’m concerned, I never came across anything wrong about Sneha on the Internet; in that case, why should reply to it or why should I visit COP’s office to lodge a complaint?
“Some miscreants have purposely started the issue; to be frank, I’m too busy to sign up or look into my Facebook account for the past many months,” he said, putting up a brave face.
