S.G. Films (Pvt.) Ltd. which produced blockbuster movies such as Arinthum Ariyamalum and Pattiyal, is back in the business after some hiatus and has launched a new film titled Neeyellaam Nalla Varuvadaa. Actor-director Samuthirakani and Vimal play significant roles in the film.
Geetha, a Tamil girl based abroad, is getting introduced as heroine in Kollywood through Neeyellaam Nallaa Varuvadaa. Others in the cast include M.S. Baskar, Singamuthu, Iman ‘Annachi’, Namo, ‘Kumki’ Ashwin and Deva.
R. Nagendran debuts as director in Kollywood with this film. Having worked under Seeman in films such as Thambi and Vaazhthugal and under Susi Ganesan in films such as Thiruttu Payale (Tamil and Hindi versions) and Kanthaswamy, Nagendran does have a rich experience in film-making. He hints that the script is based on a real-life incident and assures that the same would be narrated in an gripping manner.
N.K. Ekambaram is the film’s cinematographer while G.V. Prakash Kumar is scoring its music. Naa Muthukumar and Snehan would be penning the film’s lyrics while Praveen would be the editor. Silva and Kalyan would be the film’s stunt and dance choreographers (in that order). The first schedule of the film’s shoot got underway in Pondicherry a few days back.
The film’s crew would later move on to Chennai, Ooty and Kerala and to Australia and Malaysia to shoot the rest of the sequences.
