Malayalam megastar Mammootty’s son Dulquer Salmaan is all set to make his debut in Tamil films. 27-year old Dulquar has starred in a few Malayalam films and is widely considered as one of the most promising young talents in Mollywood.
Dulquer’s debut film in Tamil film would be directed by Balaji Mohan, who debuted as director with the Siddharth-Amala Paul starrer Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi early last year. Expectations are high on Balaji, whose debut film did reasonably well at the box-office, as he gets ready to launch Mammootty’s son in Kollywood.
Nazriya Nazim, who has been making news more frequently despite not having had a single direct film of her releasing in Tamil, has been cast as the heroine in Balaji’s film opposite Dulquar. Nazriya is presently awaiting her debut film Raja Rani wherein she has been paired opposite Jai. The film has Arya and Nayanthara as the lead pair and has been directed by Atlee.
Though Dulquer and Nazriya are pairing up each other for the first time in a Tamil film, they are already starring opposite each other in a Malayalam film titled Salala Mobiles whose shoot commenced at Kozhikode in Kerala three weeks back.
