‘Isaaq’ actress Amyra Dastur, who is making her debut in Kollywood with upcoming Tamil romantic-thriller ‘Anegan’, says it was the story which attracted her, and not just the lead actor Dhanush. She added “I didn’t even know Dhanush is my co-star when I signed the movie.
But later he was roped in, I felt happy that I will be working with a talented, National Award winning actor. I was approached after KV sir saw me in the trailer of ‘Isaaq’. I flew down to Chennai and tried some sample looks for him. He did a small delineate of the story and i finally signed the movie,” she added.
“I never watched any south Indian films until KV sir asked me to watch some films of 80’s and 90’s, and suggested me to closely coincide with the character I’m essaying in the film”, she said.
“I don`t want to talk about my character, but I can say that it`s a character in present day that sees love from a perspective of a south Indian and there are many looks. Even with Dhanush, what you see in the publicity posters is not the only look “, Amyra added.
‘Anegan’ is produced by AGS production and the cast includes Dhanush, Amyra, Karthik, Atul Kulkarni, Ashish Vidyarthi and Jagan and music by Harris Jayaraj.
