Reports emanating from Coimbatore say that the distribution and release rights of Ajith’s Arrambam, which is likely to release in November/December, has been sold for a ‘record price’ in the Coimbatore, Tirupur and Ooty distribution zones. Cosmo Pictures is said to have taken up the film’s distribution and release rights in these localities.
Even as Ajith’s fans are awaiting a date for the music-release of Arrambam, Ajith has already started shooting for his next project titled Veeram directed by Siva of Siruthai fame. A few days back, it was reported that instead of releasing Arrambam on the day of crackers, the makers have decided to release it on a day when no other film releases so that Ajith’s film gets all the desired attention from the media as well as from his fans and movie-goers.
Cosmo Pictures has reportedly acquired the release and distribution rights of Arrambam at a record price which is equivalent to what is usually paid for superstar Rajini’s films. Without quoting the price, a report says that the price was more than what Vijay’s Thalaivaa and Suriya’s Singam-II had managed to get. The price for which Arrambam is bagged for release in this areas is second only to that of the price fixed for Rajini’s Enthiran: The Robot, is is reported.
This is also said to be the film which has been bagged for a maximum about in Ajith’s whole career.
