Ananya, who debuted in Tamil films through Sasikumar’s hit film Nadodigal in 2008, has herself to blame for falling out of reckoning. Things dint work in her favour after her controversial marriage, but she is now slowly and steadily coming back into her own, trying hard to bury her past.
She now plays the heroine in a couple of films in Tamil in Iravum Pagalum and Pulivaal. In Iravum Pagalum, she gets to pair opposite Mahesh of Angaadi Theru fame. Ananya was so impressed by the script narrated to her by the director of Iravum Pagalum that she reportedly assured the director that she would surely be starring in the film and took just Rs.1 as the ‘advance amount’.
The script is said to be about an youth who is a student during day time and doubles up as a thief in the night and spends the amount stolen for the welfare of the poor. The various unexpected turn of events he faces in life form the rest of the story, it is informed. E. Krishnaswamy is the film’s cinematographer while Dheena scores the film’s music. Bala Sriram is the director and B. Periyasamy is the producer.
Sriram opened up a little big about his thoughts on the film. “It is a typical middle-class kind of story which has liberal doses of romance and comedy. We have also made a sincere attempt in a novel way of narrating the script which impressed Ananya so much that she agreed to star in the film taking just Re.1 as advance. Mahesh also feels that the film would be a significant one in his career,” concluded Sriram.
