South Indian International Movie Awards (SIIMA) 2013 would be a grand two-day affair to be held on 12-13 September at the United Arab Emirates, wherein Trisha is to be honoured for her ‘decade-long’ service to Kollywood.
SIIMA Awards would be honouring many artistes on the occasion of the centenary celebration of Indian cinema which is celebrating its 100th year of existence. As part of the celebrations, the awards committee has chosen Trisha from Kollywood for her achievements for the past decade or so. On her part, Trisha appears very thrilled at the nomination.
Trisha, who has been in the industry for 11 years now and is still going reasonably strong with as many as three films on her hands (Boologam opposite ‘Jayam’ Ravi, Endrendrum Punnagai opposite Jiiva and another film titled Rum). Expressing happiness at getting selected for ‘ten years of excellence in cinema’, Trisha said she considered it a great honour to be getting the award.
“I consider it a great honour as this award, in particular, is beyond the success or failure of an artiste. I would definitely be traveling to UAE to collect the awards. At this time, I would also love to thank my mother who has always been there for me whenever I needed her; I also love to thank my fans for their continued patronage and their love and affection,” concludes Trisha.
