Rajinikanth was last seen in Tamil film Endhiran, in 2010. Later, he was seen in a cameo in Bollywood King Khan Shahrukh starrer Ra.One. After this, the actor has not appeared on screen, his upcoming International movie Kochadaiyaan is the much anticipated movie, which is likely to hit the screens in 2014.

The upcoming flick which has the music scored by Anirudh has two songs, ‘Chennai city gansta’ and ‘Engadhi porandha’, where Rajinikanth is referred.
Tamil upcoming flick Biriyani, which has the music score by Yuvan Shankar Raja has the title song from Rajini punching dialogue ‘Anda aandavane namma pakkathla irukkan.’
In 2011, Rajinikanth was last seen in Shahrukh Khan starrer Ra.one. The actor played a cameo role in the movie.
Shahrukh said, “‘Lungi dance’ is a tribute to Rajinikanth and the movie like Chennai Express will not be completed without the mention of Rajinikanth name.”
The recent release Sonna Puriyathu made effective use of ‘Kelu magane kelu’ which was once used by Rajini in Basha.
In 2008, Rajini made a guest appearance as superstar Ashok Kumar in Kuselan.
