FEFSI, a federation comprising many associations and unions of employees and labourers of film industry, has decided not to cooperate with Radhika in future. Levelling many allegations against actress Radhika such as refusing to cooperate in renewing the new wage structure for film employees and labourers and attempting to break FEFSI, it has severed relations with her.
Radhika’s ‘arbitrary functioning’ has also been condemned harshly by FEFSI. In a signed statement, director-actor Ameer, president of FEFSI has said that from today (16th August), those affiliated to FEFSI won’t be cooperating in any manner with the actress. After meeting the press in this regard, Ameer issued a statement.
“It’s common practice to enter into contracts with small-screen producers once in three years. Even after two years have passed since the due time for agreement, no such agreement appears to be forthcoming. Still, in order to ensure that the producers should not suffer, we entered into a temporary agreement last year which expired last month. Though we invited the small screen association for talks many times, they didn’t pay attention to our invitation for talks.
“Also Radhika chose not to take part in talks with Labour Welfare Commissioners. The Commissioner asked us to enter into talks with the association and come to a feasible solution. He also informed us to report back to him if the association didn’t enter into talks with us. We did so; even after that, Radhika appears to be hell-bent on breaking FEFSI and floating a new Union. She is reportedly distribution new sets of application at her Radaan office.
We complained to Nadigar Sangam’s Sarath Kumar and Radharavi many a time about her attitude. As no action appeared to be initiated by the Sangam so far, we have come to a conclusion wherein it has been decided not to extend any cooperation to small-screen producers owing allegiance to Radhika,” the statement concluded.
