At a time when producers, directors and heroes ensure that they leave no stone unturned to ensure that the release in theatres of their films is preceded by a well-planned pre-publicity glitz, Dhanush’s upcoming film Mariyan is all set to release this Friday sans any major publicity campaign.
Parvathy Menon of Poo fame is paired up opposite Dhanush in the film which also marks popular ad-film maker Bharat Bala’s debut as director in Tamil films. This is also the first time that a Dhanush film has music by A.R. Rahman. The songs of the film had already been released and have become super-hits.
As Suriya’s Singam-2 has been going great guns for the past fortnight, not many films got theatres to release last week , the same situation prevails even this week. But the producer has confirmed that Mariyan would indeed be releasing this Friday in Tamil Nadu and all over the world.
Dhanush tweeted “I don kno wat 2 promise n MARIYAAN.But I kno d visuals vil excite you guys.It ll b sumthin very new.hope u guys feel d same.july 19 th”.
As Mariyan releases soon after Dhanush’s super-duper hit maiden Bollywood film Raanjhanaa, expectations are obviously among Dhanush’s fans as they believe that their star, who is already a proud winner of the national award for ‘best actor’, won’t disappoint them.
