Shruti Haasan’s upcoming Bollywood film Ramaiya Vastavaiya is slated to hit the screens on 19th July. The film has Shruti pairing up opposite debutant Girish Kumar, son of the film’s producer Kumar Taurani. Prabhu Deva, the record-breaking director, has directed the film which also has a cameo by sizzling Jacqueline Fernandez, Sri Lanka’s ‘gift’ to Bollywood.
As already reported, Ramaiya Vastavaiya is the Hindi remake of the Prabhudeva’s directorial debut telugu film Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, which was remade as Unakkum Enakkum in Tamil with ‘Jayam’ Ravi and Trisha in lead roles. It is now reported that just before the film’s shoot was wrapped up, Shruti and Prabhu Deva developed some serious misunderstanding as a result of which Shruti is said to be staying away from the promotional activities of the film.
It turns out that Prabhu Deva, who has also choreographed some songs in the film, was upset that Shruti couldn’t ‘grasp’ some difficult dance movements he had set-up for her in a particular song. When Shruti repeatedly committed errors in getting her ‘act’ right, Deva is said to have spoken harshly. Shruti, outspoken as she always is, too is said to have responded in equally harsh manner.
The misunderstanding has now made Shruti stay away from the promotional activities of the film. Prabhu Deva is not losing heart and has been propping Jacqueline, who has only played a ‘guest appearance’ in the film, to the forefront in the promotional events.
