Director Arun Vaidyanathan is jointly producing the upcoming Kalyana Samayal Saadham in association with Ananth Govindan. Starring Prasanna and the almost forgotten Lekha Washington in lead roles, the film is billed as a full-length comedy. Debutant R.S. Prasanna has directed the film besides penning the film’s script which is reportedly about the occurrences in a lavish wedding.
Produced on behalf of Everest Entertainment, a song (Mella Sirithaai…) from Kalyana Samayal Saadham has already been released; the film’s sound-mixing was wrapped up recently at the Warner Brothers Studios in Hollywood. Kunal Rajan, who worked in Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam which had the ‘Auro 3-D’ sound technology, is in-charge of the film’s sound and audio-mixing.
A few Hollywood technicians have also worked in the sound-mixing assignment. Queried as to what’s the need for Hollywood technicians in sound-mixing for a comedy film, the director says “Films are all about light and sound. Though ours is a sensitive story, it’s the sound which would transport the audiences to a different world. The prominence given to sound would be revealed once the film releases!
“We have wrapped up the shoot are are now ready with the first copy too. We are making full-fledged arrangements for an audio-launch to be held in the next few weeks’ time to be followed by the film’s theatrical release. The film deals with the love between today’s generations, the marriage and the parents’ predicament in a fun-filled manner,” concludes the director.
