Ambikapathy, the Tamil dubbed version of Dhanush’s debut Hindi film Raanjhanaa, is scheduled to release on 28th June (next Friday) all over Tamil Nadu and elsewhere, clashing with veteran director Bharathiraja’s Annakodi.
Raanjhanaa Directed by Anand L Rai, released all over the country on friday (21st June) with a good review. Now the film has also been dubbed into Tamil to encash on tamil audience, who do not feel comfortable watching a hindi film.
Raanjhanaa has got good a very encouraging response from the North Indian movie-goers, and also have lavished praise on Dhanush and his performance. With that being verdict Ambikapathy is surely expected to get a better number of theatres.
Bharathiraja’s Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum which has been long in making has now been renamed as Annakodi is finally releasing on June 28th. The film has newcomer Lakshman Narayanan and Karthika essaying the lead roles. Manoj, the veteran film-maker’s son also makes a ‘reentry’ into Tamil films through Annakodi, he is told be playing the villain on screen. Actress Radha, who recently was at the special premiere, was all praise for her daughter’s performance in the film, but not much she spoke of the film. That leaves a question mark of how well the film has come out.
This Friday the verdict to whether the veteran director still holds his trademark midas touch to steal the hearts of his audience and how different has Dhanush changed his performance for a Hindi flick will be known.
