Taapsee Pannu, a firm believer in God is one who visits temple quite frequently wherever she shoots. However, the dazzling beauty also believes in the existence of super-natural elements such as ‘spirits’. After her debut venture Aadukalam which won for its hero Dhanush the national award for ‘best actor’, Tapasee hasn’t had any significant hit to her credit.
Her next films in Tamil, Vandhaan Vendraan opposite Jiiva and Maranthen Mannithen failed to do any wonders at the box-office. As such, Taapsee is counting on her upcoming untitled film opposite Aadhi which has Ajith and Nayanthara as the lead pair to court success at the box-office. She is also the heroine in the sequel film Muni-3 (Ganga) opposite Raghava Lawrence.
She also has a project in Telugu and had also forayed into Bollywood with her debut Hindi film Chashme Baddoor early this year. It was a moderate hit film, according to trade pundits. Talking about her belief in spirits, Taapsee the heroine of Muni 3 says “I’m a very firm believer in God; at the same time, I also believe super-natural elements such as the existence of ghosts and ‘spirits’.
“I’m presently shooting for Ganga in Chennai; I love the script and am enjoying each and every moment on the sets. However, I’m eagerly awaiting for the shoot of thrilling sequences in the film. I have watched thriller films in many languages and I feel really excited that I’m soon going to be part of a thriller film,” says Taapsee, ith excitement almost palpable in her voice.
