Prabhu Solomon, the director who made the award-winning Kumki, released in theatres last December is reportedly taking up Tsunami as the central theme for his upcoming untitled film.
Solomon’s stories and the backdrops of all his films have been hugely appreciated by the critics. If he chose to criss-cross the State in a moving bus in the hilly terrains in Mynaa, Solomon went to the deeper forest-side and brought before eyes some amazing locales in Kumki which also signaled the arrival of Vikram Prabhu in Tamil films .
Sources close to Solomon reveal on condition of anonymity that “Solomon, who has never gone after leading heroes and heroines for their call-sheets to star in his film, is said to have signed up Naani as the hero of this film.”
Like he did with Kumki, Solomon has taken up a very different backdrop for the film. As many as 40-minutes’ of video footage would be present in the film depicting the dreaded Tsunami.
Solomon, who has also penned the film’s script, has also included some technicians from Hollywood in this film to make it look as realistic as possible. He would also take up the rattled lives of those living along the shore who get affected in a colossal manner by the Tsunami.
