Now that he has gained a position of reasonable strength in Kollywood, Vijay hasn’t forgotten his crisis-ridden past.
Vijay had a hat-trick of back-to-back hits last year, first as a villain in Sundarapandian and as a hero in Pizza and Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom. Those successive hits plus this year’s hit film Soodhu Kavvum have firmly transformed Vijay into a bankable hero among small and medium-budget film producers.
One of the positive things spoken of highly about Vijay is his nature of not forgetting his trouble timest and those who had stood by him, supported and encouraged him during those days.
In a recent happening a manager of a popular hero till recently was fired by the hero after sensing of having cheated to the tune of lakhs of rupees. The manager in scope managing a new actor approached Vijay with a promise to handle his activities and make him into a big star.
Vijay’s reply to the manager was typical of his well-known nature. “I’m sorry I do not think i can honour your request. Currently only those who stood by me in times I struggled are around me. It is now my time to help them growth when I have found a means to grow in the industry. So it would not be possible for me to replace them ”
