Upset over copyright claim Dhanush to launch his own music label
It is known that Dhanush, the man behind ‘Kolaveri di’ has always held media sharing sites and its policies in high regard. However, he got a taste of his own medicine recently, as a track from his upcoming Hindi debut – Raanjhnaa, was pulled of YouTube after a copyright complaint from the music label which has been promoting it!
This particular decision has not gone well with him, as he has now sought to new solutions concerning the music releases of his movies henceforth. Keeping in mind the fact that Dhanush already has his own production banner Wunderbar Films, that recently set cash registers ringing with the success of his maiden production Ethir Neechal, there is no doubt that he wants to extend a similar authority over his album releases too, which at the moment have been consistently released by music moguls Sony Music.
Disturbed by the label’s decision Dhanush exclaimed in astonishment on his microblog recently, “I’m not allowed to promote my film with my songs !!! I don’t understand this copyright claim.Hey guys we have decided to launch our own music label soon under the name “wunderbar studio”. Will make an official announcement soon”
Well, reports indicate the first project from this banner would be none other the music for elder brother and director Selvaraghavan’s – Irandam Ulagam with music from composer Harris Jayaraj.
