After Dhanush starrer Uthama Puthiran and Prashanth’s Ponnar Shankar it is the turn of Prakash Raj’s Gouravam which is the hitting the screens this weekend to face the wrath of Kongu Peravai.
Pongalur Era Manikandan, the state president of Kongu Vellala Goundergal Peravai had issued a warning a month back to the producers of the film to not go ahead with the release of the film, and is still not ready to move back from his earlier decision to protest against Prakash Raj’s Gouravam.
Speaking on this issue Pongalur Era Manikandan says “ We will not let some one to project our caste or our caste women in bad light. In this Film Gouravam, a Dalit boy falls in love with a Kongu vellala Gounder Girl, and the family of the girl do not approve the love. To not loose their family pride, the Gounder family kills the Girl is the story. We are not against love. When a film like this made it seeds ill thoughts between two sections of people and next generation.”
Speaking more on this the Kongu Peravai leader attacks Prakash Raj directly as to ” before advising people, he should be a role model to next generation ,but what has he done, he fell in love with a Dalit Girl, Lalitha Kumari and had three children with her and has ditched her and at this half old age he has gone behind a dance master. This is his culture”
