Vikraman, known for his tear-inducing family-oriented scripts, is back with another film typical of his earlier films. The film has newcomer Rejith playing the lead role. Vikraman’s last film was the Vijayakanth-Meera Jasmine starrer Mariyadhai which sank without a trace at the box-office a few years back.
Ever since debuting as director with the Murali-Anand Babu starrer Pudhu Vasantham more than a couple of decades back, Vikraman has always treaded in his own territory and has hardly come out of it vis-à-vis his film-making style. With a heavy and more-than-necessary dose of (family) sentiment, his films have more often than not done well at the box-office thus far, with the exception of one or two films.
Vikraman deserves credit for introducing many leading actors and actresses. Ninaithathu Yaro is almost 80% complete and has Rejith, a graduate, essaying the lead role. Speaking to newsmen, Rejith said “I’m sure Ninaithathu Yaro would be a turning point in my career. After completing my engineering degree, I came to films to give vent to my passion for films.
“I’m happy and lucky to be starring in Vikraman Sir’s film in my very first outing. It’s a great learning curve for me to work under Vikraman Sir who is extremely good-natured. I hope once Ninaithathu Yaro releases and does well, fans would give me a permanent place in their hearts,” concludes Rejith after revealing that even before completing his first film, he has received offers to play the lead role from two major production houses.
Rejith, who insists that he is into the game for playing any kind of character on-screen, is also a great fan of ‘Thala’ Ajith.
