Now that Illayathalapathy Vijay has declared open his forthcoming blockbuster Jilla, eager fans are waiting to hear more about his character in the flick. Although, not much has yet been revealed about the project reports emanating from the sets suggest he will have a peculiar Madurai influence in his appearance.
The leading man is apparently playing a character named Shakthi, a native to Madurai and fondly known by many as Jilla. In fact, a Madurai style house inspired by the Dravidian style of architecture is being erected at a cost of one crore rupees!
Concerning which we thought it would be better to approach director Nesan and seek details on the usage of Madurai slang as an integral part of the lead character . To which Nesan responded, “Vijay will shoot a majority of the scenes in Madurai but I cannot assure anything regarding the Madurai slang as of now.”
Looks like, he is following the strict code of the crew. However with time, details will be much clear. Meanwhile, Vijay is content that after having hits like Love Today, Thullatha Manamun Thullum and Thiruppachi produced by RB Choudhary, he is back after an eight year long gap with the producer.
In addition, D Imman who impressed with Mynaa and Kumki is composing the tunes for this project(also his 10th year in the industry). Kajal Agarwal will play the female lead as Thambi Ramaiah, Parotta Suri and Poornima Bhagyaraj will be seen in supporting roles . With Nutty Natraj as the cinematographer on board this project is expecting a release this Pongal.
