The shooting of Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone starrer Kochadaiyaan is completed and the first edited copy of the film was received well by the team. The movie, which was delayed due to the health concerns of the superstar, seems to be getting ready for the release in the later part of the year. KS Ravi Kumar was supposed to direct Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone in Rana, the movie has been put on back burner after Rajini fell ill. However, when the superstar started recovering, the proposed project was pushed and Kochadaiyaan under the leadership of Soundarya Ashwin, the daughter of the Endhiran actor, was announced. It has to be noted that KS Ravikumar has penned the stories for both, Kochadaiyaan and Rana. Later, the makers of the movie claimed that Kochadaiyaan was a prequel to Rana.
However, the actress’ dates given for the Tamil movie went for toss but the best efforts put by the team made Deepika to manage her dates and given nod for the latest movie too. After completing the shooting, KS Ravikumar admitted that the film has been delayed but they worked over time to complete the filming of Kochadaiyaan. Now, the team is game for the dubbing.
