Padmapriya says Tamil industry forgot her

After her debut in 2005 a subsequent release in 2007 with Mirugam ,Ayyanar saw her receiving the Tamil Nadu State Film Special Award for Best Actress. However, this leggy lass hasn’t been able to generate a steady demand midst her Tamil fans even though many awards came her way.

As Kollywood continues to be interested in picking from the younger crop of actresses in search of fresh faces for upcoming projects, one thing is certain – things aren’t as rosy as she expects it to be. She recently seized an opportunity and made a provoking remark stating “the Tamil industry has abandoned me”. In addition, as if almost pleading to the directors in an public statement she also hinted she was ready for glamour roles too if needed.
