Count it on Kajal Aggarwal to say everything straight from the heart. The actress is under fire from Kollywood for saying that she felt ‘more comfortable’ working in Telugu films than in Tamil films. In a recent interview to a leading national daily, Kajal had said that the Telugu film industry treated heroines with more regard than the Tamil film industry which always looked up to and cared for the ‘heroes’.
“I don’t give a shit to this kind of treatment,” were Kajal’s words while commenting it. In a free-wheeling chat, she spoke about her career and discussed briefly about her personal life too. “I was born and brought up in Mumbai where being friendly with men wasn’t a big issue. As such, I was on more than friendly terms with a couple of guys but didn’t let the relationship flourish as I felt it was nothing but a ‘waste of time’.
“I liked working with all my co-stars in Tamil and Telugu; however, Vijay in Kollywood and Jr. NTR in Tollywood have been good friends. Though Vijay doesn’t talk much and NTR is slightly arrogant in his attitude, I like their company. I don’t like people taking more-than-the desired level liberty with me. I’m friendly with all my heroes and would even arrange lunch or dinner for them whenever they visit Mumbai.
“At the same time, I wont’ ever cross the limits as I’ve been brought up in a traditional manner by my parents. At present, I’m looking forward to my Bollywood film Special 26 which releases today (8th February) and I hope the film goes on to become a box-office hit like Singham did last year,” concluded Kajal.
Aggarwal babe is paired opposite Akshay, who is becoming the latest ‘patron’ (after Salman ‘Casanova’ Khan) to be taking care of heroines from South during their initial stages in Hindi films!
