Director-producer SA Chandrasekar, the president of Tamil Film Producers’ Council(TFPC) has lost in the no-confidence vote, that was brought by the Keyar group to remove him from the post of president.
In The Results announced on saturday, Chandrasekhar got just 10 votes in his favor, while 204 were against him, and 1 vote was counted as void.

SA Chandrasekhar was elected as the new president of Tamil Nadu Producers in the election held on October 9th,2011, beating his opponents Keyar and Sreenivasan.
On October 28, 2012, a section of producers, led by Keyar, had brought a no-confidence motion against president SAC, in the special general body meeting. After much heated arguments, Chaos and confusion, the voting was held under the supervision of Madras High Court-appointed Justice Mr. E Padmanabhan.
Later SA Chandrasekhar had sought a stay against counting the no-confidence polling votes and the results were not announced.
On Friday (Feb 1,2013) the case was taken up for hearing and Justice E Padmanabhan, who was appointed by the Madras High Court to preside over the Sunday’s general body meeting of the Council, submitted his report before the court.
On the same day, the votes polled were counted and the results turned out in favor of Keyar. Now it needs to be seen as to whether the SA Chandrasekar steps down from his post or is forced to.
