There is no doubt that Prabhu Solomon’s Kumki has attracted the young and the old alike. Proving its success is the poster released today that had its cast posing gladly for a snap celebrating a fifty day successful run at the box office. Produced by Lingusamy under his banner Thirupathi Brothers this flick hit the screens on December 14, 2012 alongside Gautham Menon’s Neethane En Ponvasantham.
Leaving the latter behind it created a dream debut for Vikram Prabhu . An endearing tale about a mahout and his elephant, interwoven with an intriguing visual experience and serenading music gripped the audience in no time.
Special mention should be given to D Imman for his musical contribution as it set flag with a strong impact prior to the release. No doubt the chartbusting hits were instrumental in helping Vikram Prabhu clinch a half century in his very first attempt.
However, director Prabhu Solomon is currently looking forward to his next and has plans to rope in Gautham Karthik for the same. As for Vikram Prabhu, he is busy with the preparations for Ivan Veramadhiri and Sigaram Thodu. Meanwhile, his co star Lakshmi Menon has set forth to her third project with Kutti Puli. Hearty congratulations to the Kumki team!
