Forgetting the disappointment behind last year’s Maattrraan, actor Suriya has moved ahead and has started working in his upcoming film titled Singam-II, the sequel to his successful film Singam. Director Hari, who directed the Part 1 in the Singam series, is also directing Singam-II with Anushka and Hansika as the two heroines.
The film crew has moved for the last phase of the shooting to the hilly areas of Theni-Gudalur locality,an Elephant and Tiger habitat , where high level of restriction apply.
After the shoot at Thekkady , Suriya and crew reportedly stayed for a night at a bungalow belonging to the Forest Department situated at Mullai Kodi. Tourist are not allowed at this location. Hence the violation is the latest controversy, as to how could the forest officials have taken a tourist into the Tiger reserve.
The reach the isolated bungalow one has to travel quite a distance by boat followed by a forest drive of 24 km. And it turns out the forest officials had arranged for the Suriya and crews stay and travel at the place. Earlier last year, Kerala’s Forest minister Ganesh Kumar was caught in a similar controversy; Following which Ganesh Kumar was warned of misusing his powers.
